Judith McCann

Chief Executive Officer

Judith McCann took up the position of Film New Zealand's CEO on July 1, 2004. She is responsible for the management of the organisation and reports to the Board of Trustees with whom she works closely in developing strategic plans, policy frameworks and budgets. As CEO she is also a member of the Finance & Audit Committee.

Judith is the key point of contact at Film New Zealand for government, regional film offices and New Zealand industry associations and guilds. She represents Film New Zealand on various formal and informal consultative bodies involving government and/or industry, and at international markets and meetings with overseas clients.

Judith brings extensive experience in screen production industry having held executive positions with Telefilm Canada and the South Australian Film Corporation. She also headed the New Zealand Film Commission for five years during the early 1990s.
